Summary
A digital device for rapid detection of the clutch skidding of traction and transport machines has been developed. The device is designed to augment the wheel power, improve fuel efficiency and lessen the probability of failure by getting of digital information about the skidding at any moment of vehicle operation.

Regulation of diesel engine by the transformation of its active volume

Summary
Some results of analysis of opportunities to rise a fuel affordability of diesel 6Ch 11/12.5 by regimes of low load or idling by deactivating some cylinders or cycles, named in other words as method of transformation of diesel active volume are presented. This analysis is carried out with the use of experimental universal diesel characteristics, namely fuel specific consumption of diesel, and mathematical simulation of some regimes of diesel operation.

The main design parameters of a compact settling chamber

Summary
The processing chain and corresponding machine systems for woody biomass harvesting and fuel chips production from logging residues, low-quality and small-sized wood are examined. The features of these systems are the possibility of full-tree harvesting during principal felling and cleaning cutting.
